How much should i settle for?

I was involved in a car accident back in Sept 9/2009. The other driver was completely at fault. The car was totaled(Insurance paid for that). Prior to the accident, i was employed and making 30,000 annually. Anyways the accident injured my left shoulder, upper back, and low back. Even the MRI scan was showing disc problems in the low back. I have been going to therapy and massage twice a week since the accident.However i feel much better now and i am wondering how much is a fair price for pain and suffering if i were to settle just before the two year anniversary hits. The medical bills have reached $20,000 since then and i have been off work since the day of the accident. I would just like to know your opinion what would a fair settlement be. I am 24 single male.
