SHOULD PRO ATHLETES GET PAID PER GAME?

Pro athletes, ecspecially starters earn an annual income averaging 8 million dollars per year, which is over a 5-6 month period. But, alot of these 8 million dollar athletes do not perform on a consistent basis. The pay scale should definetly be changed to a performance based salary. Pro athletes should get paid weekly based on their performance from that current week. Why should an athlete get a $70,000 check on Monday after throwing 5 Interceptions the Sunday before? Why should a Major Leauge Batter still get his contract of 12 Million Dollar Annually after a batting average of .211 and 7 Home Runs. Dont get me wrong, many athletes do play hard and with passion day in and day out, but there are way to many lack luster performances in Pro Sports. Imagine how great and intense the games would be if Pro athletes got paid based on performance and not contractual.
