Why is the response "Go in the kitchen and make me a sandwich" such a popular one?

My gf sucks at making sandwiches. Too much mayo and not enough mustard. Like everything in life if you want it done right you have to do it yourself. Plus I noticed that most of the female subway workers suck making sandwiches. It may look prettier but proportions of meat, cheese, veggies and condiments are all wrong.
