PS3 or Xbox 360 ( Sorry needed extra 20 Characters)?

Recently my PS3 suffered a major system failure and I would rather just buy a new console rather than sending it to be repaired as i believe it to be around the time to renew the console. I am faced with the Decision of buying a new PlayStation 3 or switching to "the Dark Side" and buying a Xbox 360(I am referring to their colour when i say Dark Side). the questions i need answered which I will probs re ask the guy at JB HI FI when i got there are: Is the Gaming experience on Xbox different to PS3? Is the Online Fee worth it? What do I get extra with the Online fee? is the Xbox more efficient when it comes to connecting to the Internet as I am finding that my PS3 is only getting up to 17% in an area where all computers get Excellent connection(if any one can help with that one please give me some tips!) also as i have had my PS3 for 3-4 years I have quite a collection of games and I don't believe (well at least my mum doesn't) that i will get enough money back if I sell them. Also i will most likely get it from Dick smith or JB HI FI or EB Games as i am in Australia if there are any other Shops (CANNOT PURCHASE ONLINE!!!) Please tell me, also where i can get the best deal. THANKS :)
